Our Story
It all started in 2003 when we took a trip to our favorite childhood vacation spot, Ocean City, MD. Unfortunately, we had to leave our “children” Bubba and Lucy (our English Bulldogs) at home with our family. We missed them so bad and wanted to bring them something cool home. Maybe a treat, toy, or new bone? We quickly realized there was nowhere to find anything for our “children” in this beautiful resort. And the idea to open the largest dog boutique and bakery on the East Coast was born.
In May of 2005, we relocated to Ocean City, MD, and opened our first dog boutique and barkery, Doggie Style Canine Café. We began baking and selling our gourmet dog treats. Our taste testers, Bubba and Lucy, loved their new job! In fact you can see Bubba’s image in our logo.
Crafted from scratch in small batches, our highly skilled pastry chefs use only simple, real ingredients, slow baking each treat to lock in all those mouthwatering flavors and canine loving nutrients. Customers love to watch us make our treats while they shop our retail boutique. Samples of tasty treats, fresh from our ovens, are always on hand. It’s truly an experience you can enjoy with your four legged friends!
